Dr. Yashima is a Certified Professional Coach, skilled facilitator, and organizational development guru, who started her career as an award-winning journalist and Marketing Communications executive at leading corporations in the insurance, healthcare, financial services, and entertainment industries. Her robust senior leadership experience and learning is leveraged in the professional development of emerging employees and leaders, middle and executive-level talent through coaching, small and large group training/facilitation, and consulting.
In addition to Communications and Leadership, Dr. Yashima is passionate about Diversity, Equity & Inclusion. Her vast experience and expertise serve small businesses, global brands, and cultural influencers. Dr. Yashima’s key areas of focus are:
Dr. Yashima earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania’s, Annenberg School of Communication and Wharton School of Business in Communications and Legal Studies. She holds a Doctor of Divinity in Leadership and Organizational Development and is currently matriculating in Western Governors University’s Master of Business Administration degree program. Dr. Yashima possesses two certificates in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion from Cornell University and Southern Florida School of Business. Additionally, she earned her coaching certification from the Institute of Professional Excellence in Coaching.
In her personal time, Dr. Yashima enjoys spending time with her husband and son, traveling, and singing. She also loves musical theatre. She’s a self-proclaimed spa connoisseur having traveled domestically and globally for great ‘girls’ trip’ destinations.
